The Client retained Accenture to help deliver a Joint-Operating Entity project approved by the FCC & Dept. of Justice that was over 1.5 years behind schedule to promote and sell partner offers in a bi-directional sales flow.

How I helped
I led the PMO team to take over, develop and execute a turnaround strategy amidst in-flight deliverables and pre-committed timelines by immediately putting in place several changes.
The first was a complete re-baseline of the project plan to decompose into a lower level of granularity for both better tracking and improved milestone inter-dependencies. This allowed us to understand day-by-day exactly which point encountered resistance and delays.
My team and I paired this with a daily RAID call across all workstreams and impacted stakeholders to surface roadblocks & issues and captured them in our RAID log.
Due to an overwhelming amount of change requests, we implemented a Change Control policy within the organization to streamline and regulate change adoption.
Significant behind-the-scenes activities were implemented to move the project forward and ultimately a successful turnaround.
Outcome
- Relieved significant monetary penalties for the Client by meeting all Joint-milestones
- Minimized delays and scope creep by streamlining a centralized change adoption process
- Successfully reversed a year-long failing project in under four months
